Two Minutes to Feel Comfortable, Focused, Calm & Confident

Nov 09, 2022

Did you know that your body, in its infinite wisdom, cranks up the cortisol each morning to help you get up and take action? Cortisol is often referred to as the “stress hormone.” It’s a major player in the body’s alarm system as well as “get up and go”. For some, the cortisol increases too much, leading to anxious feelings first thing in the morning.

Doing ONE Sun Salutation – a sequence of moves coordinated with breath – can help reduce that cortisol spike.

This one sun salutation takes two minutes.

The benefits are many. In addition to balancing that morning cortisol spike, it can:

  • Help you feel more comfortable in your body (embodied)
  • Promote better posture
  • Improve focus
  • Support overall health

In this video, I'll show you how to do this lovely sun salutation sequence. Commit to doing it each morning and you’ll be promoting a trend of wellbeing in your (and your family’s) life in addition to the benefits listed above.

Affirm your own wellbeing by saying “Yes” to yourself each morning.

The practice in this video is intended for middle school age kids, high school kids and grownups. Do it together as a family if you can!
